Job summary

Global Enterprise Partners seeks an experienced SAP S/4HANA R2R Functional Expert to support finance operations within a large-scale SAP landscape. You will be the liaison between local finance teams and central SAP functions, driving adoption and continuous improvement across Record-to-Report processes.

The role requires deep SAP FICO expertise, 10+ years, and a proven track record in asset-intensive industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of SAP FICO experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA R2R processes.
• Proven experience in asset-intensive industries (Utilities/Power/Manufacturing).
• Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting and controlling.
• Experience supporting end users in global SAP environments.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main SAP R2R contact for local finance users.
• Provide day-to-day functional support for SAP-related questions.
• Develop and deliver SAP training materials and user enablement.
• Collaborate with finance and stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies.
• Coordinate with global SAP teams for incident resolution.
• Document tickets with clear business and technical requirements.
• Coach key users to strengthen SAP expertise.
• Act as the bridge between business users and IT.

Contract: 12 Months

Travel: Up to 20% across Europe

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA R2R Functional Expert to support finance operations and process optimization within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA environment. This role will act as the primary liaison between local finance teams and central SAP support functions, ensuring users receive effective support while helping drive continuous improvement across Record-to-Report processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with finance stakeholders, controllers, key users, and IT teams to improve SAP adoption, address operational challenges, and support ongoing transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main SAP R2R contact for finance users at the local site.
• Provide day-to-day functional support and guidance for SAP-related questions and issues.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver SAP training materials and user enablement activities.
• Collaborate with finance teams and business stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with global SAP support teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and system-related issues.
• Ensure support tickets are properly documented with clear business and technical requirements.
• Coach and upskill key users and super users to strengthen local SAP expertise.
• Act as the communication bridge between business users and IT teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve SAP functionality, user experience, and process efficiency.
• Gather and document business requirements for future enhancements and developments.
• Support testing activities including unit testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect management.
• Promote SAP best practices and contribute to ongoing process standardisation initiatives.

Mandatory Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of SAP FICO experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Proven experience within Utilities, Energy, Power, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or other asset-intensive industries.
• Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and controlling processes.
• Experience supporting end users in global SAP environments.
• Experience working with business stakeholders and cross-functional IT teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• SAP certifications.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, or template deployments.
• Knowledge of additional SAP modules including:

• Additional European language skills.
