Job summary

Fusion Consulting in Warszawa seeks an experienced SAP MDG Functional Consultant – Finance to lead the MDG design and implementation for Finance, including governance processes and data models. You will work with Finance, Controlling, and Master Data teams to ensure alignment with the global SAP template and migration plans.

Your role covers MDG data models, workflows, validations, and migrations across ECC and S/4HANA, requiring strong collaboration and stakeholder management in a multinational

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years SAP experience, with 3–5 years hands-on SAP MDG in Finance.
• Strong MDG Finance expertise and knowledge of SAP FI/CO master data.
• Experience with MDG data models, governance workflows, change requests, validations, derivations, and replication.
• Fluent German and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the functional design and implementation of SAP MDG for Finance (GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers).
• Gather, analyze, and challenge business requirements and translate them into scalable MDG governance processes.
• Define MDG data models, change request types, approvals, validations, derivations, and replication.
• Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Accounting, and Master Data stakeholders.
• Coordinate with technical, integration, and FI/CO teams for alignment.
• Support data migration, validation, testing, UAT and go-live.
• Identify cross-functional dependencies and align with global template.
• Prepare functional specs, process docs, and design decisions.
• Support MDG migration, upgrade across ECC and S/4HANA environments.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP MDG Functional Consultant – Finance to support a major SAP transformation initiative. The role requires strong functional expertise in SAP Master Data Governance for financial master data, with responsibility for defining governance processes, functional designs, workflows, and business requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the functional design and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for the Finance domain, including General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and related financial master data.
• Gather, analyze, and challenge business requirements and translate them into scalable MDG governance processes.
• Define and design MDG data models, change request types, approval workflows, validations, derivations, and replication requirements.
• Work closely with Finance, Controlling, Accounting, and Master Data stakeholders to define target governance processes and approval flows.
• Collaborate with technical, integration, and SAP FI/CO teams to ensure alignment between functional requirements and technical implementation.
• Support data migration, mass upload, data validation, reconciliation, testing, UAT, and go-live activities.
• Identify cross-functional dependencies and ensure alignment with the overall SAP transformation and global template.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, and design decisions.
• Support SAP MDG migration, upgrade, and transformation activities across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of SAP experience, with at least 3–5 years of hands‑on SAP MDG functional experience.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP MDG Finance.
• Strong understanding of SAP FI/CO master data structures and processes.
• Hands‑on experience with MDG data models, governance workflows, change requests, validations, derivations, and replication.
• Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, including MDG migration, upgrade, or transformation programs.
• Experience with data migration, mass upload, data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes.
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent German and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Master Data Governance Certification.
• Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA, including co-deployed and hub deployment models.
• Experience with MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing.
• Experience with SAP Fiori.
• Understanding of SAP Clean Core architecture.
• Experience in large-scale global SAP S/4HANA transformation and template rollout programs.
