Job summary

EY GDS Poland is seeking an experienced SAP CO Manager to lead complex IT transformation programs and deliver cutting-edge SAP solutions for global clients.

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guide solution design, and mentor teams while driving delivery excellence in an international environment.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced SAP CO Manager to join our EY GDS Consulting Services team. In this role, you will lead complex IT transformation programs, advise clients at a strategic level, and drive the delivery of cutting-edge SAP solutions for leading global organizations.

Your key responsibilities

• Support large-scale implementation projects, including greenfield, brownfield, and S/4HANA system conversions with a focus on SAP Controlling (CO) solutions
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping solution strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality delivery, risk management, and adherence to project timelines and budgets
• Drive solution design decisions, ensuring scalability, standardization, and alignment with SAP best practices
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal development, client presentations, and identifying new opportunities
• Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional growth and development

Skills and attributes for success

• Solution Architecture & Functional Leadership – deep expertise in SAP CO with strong understanding of end-to-end finance and controlling processes (typically 10+ years of relevant experience)
• Delivery Excellence – strong track record of end-to-end implementations using methodologies such as Agile or SAP Activate
• Leadership & Stakeholder Management – ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, lead teams, and communicate complex topics effectively

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Strong, hands-on experience across SAP CO areas, with strong end-to-end process understanding (typically 10+ years of experience)
• Experience in multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects, including S/4HANA
• Proven ability to design integrated CO solutions, including FI and logistics integrations (SD, MM, PP)
• Experience in business development / go-to-market activities (e.g., proposals, client discussions, opportunity shaping)
• Experience in system enhancements and custom developments
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Readiness to participate in SAP Consulting implementation projects with a focus on developing new solutions and expanding system functionalities within the scope of R&D activities
• Hands‑on approach to collaborating with R&D teams to identify and implement best practices and new SAP solutions that may enhance the efficiency of business processes
• Willingness to report the progress of R&D projects and documenting the results of implementations, as well as post-implementation review

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in additional SAP Finance areas such as General Ledger, AP, AR, Treasury, RE-FX, etc.
• German language skills are a strong advantage.
• Strong leadership presence and the ability to inspire teams.
• A collaborative mindset, resilience, and a sense of humor.
