Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your safety assurance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates. You’ll contribute to ensuring the safety and reliability of our projects and programs, playing a key role in software, hardware, and system safety assurance, including ERTMS/ETCS systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, safety assurance), participate in the creation of Safety Reports and Safety Cases, and support actions to address assessor findings, and much more. You’ll specifically take care of software safety assurance in the Projects and Programs (products), but also hardware safety assurance in the Projects and Programs (products).

We’ll look to you for:
  • System safety assurance in the Projects and Programs (systems, system applications)
  • ERTMS/ETCS System safety assurance in the Projects and Programs (Products, System, System application)
  • Delivering/performing Safety analysis under the guidance of the PSAM with the strict application of processes as per Signalling Safety Instructions related to SW, HW, Systems, railway functions, ERTMS/ETCS functions
  • Participating in the elaboration of the Safety Reports and the Safety Case under the guidance of the PSAM
  • Applying safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project/system/product
  • Attending periodic Safety Reviews

  • Degree in Railway Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Experience or understanding of system, data preparation, hardware, or software domains
  • Knowledge of system safety assurance, hardware safety assurance, and software safety assurance
  • Familiarity with ERTMS/ETCS systems, products, and system applications
  • Basic knowledge of Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards like AREMA, IEEE, etc.)
  • Fluent English communication skills (both reading and writing technical documentation)
  • Structured and organized approach to tasks
  • Fast learning capability
  • Railway knowledge and/or experience in railway safety or other system/product safety domains
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronics, or electromechanical engineering
