Job summary

Vention in Krakow, Poland is looking for a software developer with at least 3 years of Ruby experience to build scalable, production-ready code and participate in the full software development lifecycle.

You will work in a hybrid setup, collaborating in Scrum ceremonies, reviewing code, writing tests, and staying current with Ruby best practices and AI tool integrations. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Ruby development.
• Strong DB skills: Postgres, MongoDB.
• Frontend basics: HTML, CSS, TS, Vue/React.
• Testing with RSpec and Cucumber.
• English at B2+ and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, production-ready code with Ruby.
• Participate in full SDLC and feature implementation.
• Collaborate through demos, Scrum ceremonies, knowledge sharing.
• Assist in estimation and planning.
• Conduct code reviews and write automated tests.
• Keep stack up to date with CI and AI tools.
• Mentor or run dev meetups when needed.
