Hitachi Energy Poland is seeking a Research Scientist to advance dielectric design and insulation materials for high‑voltage energy systems. You will work in a highly collaborative, international setting with product development and business units to push technology forward.

The role emphasizes research, simulation, and practical translation of findings into innovative solutions and roadmaps for sustainable energy products.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
• Proven experience in dielectric phenomena, electrical insulation systems, and technology development or applied R&D.
• Strong understanding of interactions between electrical, mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and material aspects of engineering systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to R&D projects focused on advanced electrical insulation technologies and multidisciplinary engineering challenges.
• Develop innovative solutions that improve performance, reliability, and sustainability of energy products and systems.
• Apply advanced engineering, scientific, and simulation-based methods to solve dielectric-related challenges.
• Collaborate with global research teams, business units, and product development organizations to address tech needs.
• Evaluate, validate, and implement emerging technologies and engineering solutions for industrial applications.
• Translate technical findings into practical recommendations supporting product roadmaps.
• Contribute to patents, technical reports, and publications.
• Build collaborations with universities, research institutes, startups, and industrial partners.
