Job summary

Hitachi Energy Poland is seeking a researcher to lead R&D projects in modeling and simulating electric power systems with high renewable penetration. You will collaborate with global researchers and use tools like PSCAD, PowerFactory, ATP, and MATLAB/Simulink to develop and verify novel simulation approaches.

The role requires a PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field, strong modeling and programming skills (C/C++/Java), and fluency in English.

Qualifications

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation or related field.
Experience in developing mathematical models of electric power systems.
Experience with designing and running numerical simulation algorithms for power systems.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Propose, contribute to and lead research and development projects creating mathematical models and numerical simulations for grid reliability and stability.
Collaborate with a global team to solve real-world power systems challenges using numerical simulations and modeling.
Develop novel simulation approaches and prototypes with clear business impact.
