Job summary

Institute of Human Genetics PAS in Poznań seeks a research assistant to join the Department of Reproductive Biology and Stem Cells. The role focuses on preclinical studies with dystrophic mdx mice, using stem cell populations and genetically reprogrammed HIDEMs cells to improve skeletal muscle function.

The candidate will work with molecular techniques, transcriptomics, proteomics, and data analysis in R, and contribute to project development and grant applications.

Qualifications

• PhD in medical sciences or related field required.
• Knowledge of genetics and epigenetics with molecular biology techniques (PCR, RT-qPCR, Sanger sequencing, Western blot).
• Experience with spatial transcriptomics and laser microdissection.
• Fluent English in speech and writing; ability to present in Polish and English.
• Publications in international journals; grant writing experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in preclinical studies with dystrophic mdx mice using stem cell strategies.
• Evaluate skeletal muscle function with molecular assays and transcriptomics/proteomics.
• Collaborate across teams and contribute to research proposals and projects.
