Job summary

Y&L LAW LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our firm. In this role, you will provide legal advice to claims examiners, perform legal research, draft documents and pleadings, negotiate settlements, update and maintain files, take in-person depositions, and appear for court hearings and trials.

You will learn from more experienced attorneys and develop and grow in your law career. This is a remote position offering opportunities to handle cases end-to-end, work with a team, and advance

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients.

Responsibilities

• Handle cases from beginning to end.
• Prepare initial file analysis
• Provide case status updates
• Conduct legal research
• Prepare for and attend legal proceedings
• Conduct depositions
• Negotiate on behalf of clients
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records
