Job summary

Y&L LAW LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our remote team. You will provide legal advice to claims examiners, perform legal research, draft documents and pleadings, negotiate settlements, and manage files. You will also take depositions and appear at court hearings and trials as needed.

This role offers growth and learning under experienced attorneys. This remote position is ideal for a candidate seeking to develop and advance in a legal career while handling a manageable caseload

Qualifications

Completion of a JD from an accredited law school and passing the bar exam.
Active membership in the ABA is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients.

Responsibilities

Handle cases from beginning to end.
Prepare initial file analysis.
Provide case status updates.
Conduct legal research.
Prepare for and attend legal proceedings.
Conduct depositions.
Negotiate on behalf of clients.
Maintain detailed and accurate client records.
