Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience in a PBM, health plan, or clinical pharmacy setting.
• Experience handling prior authorization requests is required.
• Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare prior authorization requests by validating prescriber and member information, level of review, and guidelines.
• Make outbound calls to providers to obtain clinical information for pharmacist review.
• Obtain clinical information from prescribers and staff to ensure clinical guidelines are addressed for review.
• Review pharmacy claims data for proactive outreach and intervention.
• Escalate provider concerns to the appropriate internal team.
