Job summary

Avenga is seeking an experienced Lead Developer (Java/Angular) to join our data-driven web applications team. This role combines hands-on coding with technical leadership, architecture discussions and code reviews, all aimed at maintaining high engineering standards.

You will own backend services with Java, integrate Elasticsearch, and collaborate across disciplines while mentoring engineers. The role is fully remote in Poland, offering challenging projects and opportunities to shape scalable

Qualifications

• Several years of professional software development experience in a senior or tech-lead role.
• Strong backend Java and frontend Angular expertise.
• Recent production experience with Elasticsearch.
• Proficient SQL skills and exposure to Snowflake.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and version control.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the development of modern web applications from backend to frontend.
• Design, implement and review Elasticsearch-driven search solutions.
• Lead code reviews and ensure high engineering standards.
• Collaborate with data, product and other tech teams.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices in testing and security.
