Job summary

Scale-X Solutions seeks an experienced Services Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to support a Queensland project from a remote location. The role covers mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services, focusing on detailed Bill of Quantities and variation submissions.

The ideal candidate will read services drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and ensure coordination with head contract and subcontractor documents while maintaining project timelines and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma or Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in services estimating or quantity surveying in construction.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic services installations.
• Experience interpreting drawings, specs and contract docs.
• Proficient in Bills of Quantities generation and variance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Generate Bills of Quantities from Head Contract across M,E,H, and fire services.
• Generate Bills of Quantities from current issue documentation for the same scope.
• Compare BOQs to identify design, quantity, and scope differences.
• Prepare reports to support Head Contract variations and claims.
• Report discrepancies and coordinate with Contracts Administration team.
