Job summary

Climate First Bank is seeking a Risk Officer to lead and strengthen the enterprise risk management program. You will identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks across operations, finance, compliance, cybersecurity and reputation. You will supervise a Risk Analyst and report to senior leadership and the Board.

The role requires 5+ years in risk management and deep knowledge of banking regulations, controls, and reporting. This is a remote US position with EST hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Admin, Risk Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in risk management, enterprise risk, compliance, audit or related financial services.
• Experience presenting risk information to senior leadership and boards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the bank’s enterprise risk management framework, including policies and procedures.
• Oversee ERM system administration and risk governance practices.
• Advise leadership on risk exposure, appetite and mitigations.
• Conduct risk assessments across operational, financial, compliance, strategic, cybersecurity and reputational domains.
• Monitor risk data, KRIs, and industry/regulatory changes.
• Prepare and present risk reports to exec leadership and Board.
