Job summary

Across Clocks is seeking an experienced Revit drafter to support a Southern California residential design and engineering team. The role focuses on developing construction documents from established Revit models and templates, with an emphasis on wood-frame residential construction.

You will work independently in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with designers, engineers, and permitting staff, and ensuring drawings meet city-code requirements and project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in developing construction documents from Revit models.
• Extensive hands-on experience with wood-frame residential construction.
• Knowledge of floor assemblies, foundations, stem walls, engineered floor joists, and roof overhangs.
• Ability to produce coordinated drawings from templates with minimal guidance.
• Familiarity with U.S. residential building codes and standards.
• Strong communication skills for a remote U.S.-based team.

Responsibilities

• Develop residential construction drawing sets from Revit models and templates.
• Prepare and update annotations, tags, notes, and details.
• Revise plans in response to internal feedback and plan-check comments.
• Use Revit families and wood-frame knowledge to develop drawings.
• Coordinate with project manager, designers, engineers, and permitting team.
• Manage tasks across multiple small projects with deadlines.
