Job summary

PlantingSpace is building a system that represents domain knowledge as modular probabilistic models. You will implement models inside our framework that our users can run, spanning finance to physics.

You will work with product teams to define needs, document approaches, and write clean, high-performance code while ensuring correctness and maintainability for production use. Our fully remote team collaborates across CET time zones.

Qualifications

• Taking models into production for external users and ensuring correctness in use.
• Applied mathematical modelling in finance or scientific applications.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience in collaborative software engineering with large codebases, CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
• Familiarity with functional/typed languages such as Julia, Rust, OCaml, Clojure, C++, or Haskell.
• Advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Statistics.

Responsibilities

• Define and own model requirements from product team and users.
• Define and document the implementation approach for hard modelling problems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Ensure model correctness, not just execution.
• Identify framework constraints and provide concrete feedback.
• Contribute to surrounding production system.
