AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and improve vulnerability management across CI/CD pipelines. You will partner with product teams to embed secure coding practices and mature our security gates.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of software engineering experience, strong Python automation skills, and hands-on work with CI/CD orchestration and vulnerability scoring frameworks in modern DevSecOps environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial experience in software engineering.
• Solid proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Working knowledge of modern CI/CD orchestration tools and practical experience with vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• AppSec tooling experience or security architecture.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline integration: write scripts to embed SAST, DAST, SCA into CI/CD.
• Security data triage: tune scanners to reduce false positives and raise alert confidence.
• Baseline automation: help deploy automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Code-level remediation: provide actionable guidance to product teams in Java and Python.
