Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and improve vulnerability management across CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 3–5 years of commercial software engineering experience and strong Python automation skills, with knowledge of CI/CD tools and vulnerability scoring frameworks. Nice-to-have experience includes DevSecOps/AppSec, reading Java code, and familiarity with CNAPP/ASPM platforms like Wiz.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Solid Python proficiency for automation and scripting.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD orchestration tools and vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• AppSec tooling experience or security architecture background.
• Ability to complete complex scripting and integration tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Integration: write and maintain scripts to integrate security gates (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD.
• Security Data Triage: tune security scanning tools to reduce false positives and improve alert quality.
• Baseline Automation: help code and deploy automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Code-Level Remediation: work with product teams to provide remediation guidance in Java and Python.
