Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and improve vulnerability management across CI/CD pipelines. You will help implement SAST, DAST, and SCA gates, and work closely with product teams to strengthen code security.

The role requires 3–5 years of software engineering experience, strong Python scripting, and familiarity with CI/CD orchestration tools and vulnerability scoring frameworks. Flexibility with remote/office work is offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Solid Python coding for automation and scripting.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD orchestration tools and vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• AppSec tooling or security architecture experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on complex scripting and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security gates (SAST/DAST/SCA) into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Tune and configure security scanning tools to reduce false positives and elevate alert confidence.
• Help develop automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Provide actionable code-level remediation guidance with product teams in Java and Python.
