Job summary

Precision for Medicine is seeking a Principal Database Programmer to lead programming for clinical databases and applications from study start to post database lock. The role collaborates with Data Management, Project Management, EDC vendors, clients and third-party vendors to ensure compliant, high-quality database solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience.
• Bachelor's degree and/or combination of related experience.
• Strong experience in Oncology; autoimmune diseases would be a strong adventage.
• Strong experience with Rave and Veeva.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience in Object Oriented Programming (C#, C++, VBS, etc.).
• Understanding of CDISC standards (CDASH, SDTM, ADaM, etc.).
• Proficiency in more than one CDMS system to include building forms, edit checks and complex rule development.
• Broad knowledge of drug, device and/or biologic development and effective data management practices
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Professional use of the English language; both written and oral.
• Experience in clinical database management system development.
• Experience in a clinical, scientific or healthcare discipline.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Maintains responsibility of assigned projects and ensures on-time delivery.
• Communicates status updates to project teams and stakeholders.
• Forecasts hours and identifies resource requirements; manages budgets.
• Guides design of clinical databases with clients and internal teams.
• Builds and supports clinical databases.
• Develops, tests, and validates programs and databases for client projects.
• Provides system administration and advanced technical support for applications.
• Troubleshoots and resolves software and database problems.
• Develops and maintains study-specific validation documents.
• Supports data management from CRF design to archival closeout.
• May design, develop and validate internal applications and client projects.
• Participates in software vendor selection and EDC demonstrations.
• Contributes to SOPs and process documentation for data management and database activities.
• Supports onboarding of new hires and cross-functional initiatives.
• Trains team members on data management practices and project standards.
• Communicates with sponsors, vendors and project teams on data issues.
• Delivers software demonstrations/trainings and project meetings.
• Performs duties in line with SOPs and regulations.
• Some travel may be required.
• Performs other duties as assigned
