Codilime is seeking a skilled test automation engineer to design and maintain Python-based CI/CD pipelines for pre-commit and weekly regression testing. You will automate provisioning, traffic generation, and diagnostics across virtual and physical testbeds, collaborating with distributed development teams in Europe, India, and the US.

The role emphasizes routing knowledge, tools like PTF and sonic-mgmt, and a strong emphasis on AI-assisted debugging to speed up scripting and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming skills and hands-on experience with pytest, PTF, sonic-mgmt, and Ansible.
• Solid CI/CD engineering background with automated test orchestration.
• Good networking knowledge focused on routing and SONiC routers.
• Hands-on use of AI tools in daily engineering work.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD test automation pipelines and test suites in Python for pre-commit PR testing and weekly regression runs.
• Automate environment provisioning, traffic generation, diagnostics, and regression testing across testbeds.
• Debug failed runs by reading logs, distinguishing product bugs from test/environment issues, and filing defects.
• Collaborate with development teams to align test coverage with delivered features.
• Extend test automation as new features are delivered in the routing area.
• Coordinate issue resolution with suite owners and dev/test engineers.
