Job summary

Finom is seeking a Fraud Analyst (Acquiring side) to join the Second Line of Defence within the Financial Crime Risk Management Function. This role focuses on identifying and mitigating card acquiring fraud, monitoring first-line controls, and building risk frameworks to keep fraud within appetite while supporting growth.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and ML teams, back-test controls, and contribute to ongoing risk governance across Europe.

Qualifications

• English – full working proficiency.
• 2+ years in merchant risk or PSP risk management.
• Experience with fraud prevention, detection, investigations and mitigations.
• Understanding of acquiring card fraud typologies and monitoring programs.
• Knowledge of payments ecosystem and fraud rules/ML controls.
• Experience analyzing large datasets; SQL/BI skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyse internal data and external trends to identify acquiring fraud risks.
• Translate patterns into defined acquiring fraud scenarios.
• Maintain the Acquiring Fraud Typology Library.
• Collaborate with risk, product, engineering, and ML teams.
• Back-test and tune acquiring fraud controls before production.
• Monitor metrics and suggest optimisation actions.
