Job summary

Anyone AI Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert to design realistic tasks that test AI agents' ability to interpret technical specs and produce valid engineering solutions.

You will build 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, run stress and thermal calculations, review AI outputs, and collaborate with engineers to establish reproducible evaluation criteria. Remote, contract, 20 hours/week, immediate start.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Substantial professional experience in mechanical design, product development, manufacturing, or engineering analysis.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, engineering materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
• Strong written English communication skills.
• Ability to document engineering workflows and explain technical decisions clearly.
• Experience performing engineering calculations and validating design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic mechanical engineering tasks based on product development, manufacturing, and industrial engineering workflows.
• Create and review 2D technical drawings, 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering specifications.
• Develop tasks involving mechanical design, materials selection, tolerance analysis, and component optimization.
• Prepare and validate engineering calculations, including stress, strain, forces, thermal behavior, and mechanical performance.
• Work with simulation outputs such as FEA, CFD, or manufacturing simulations.
• Identify design inconsistencies, manufacturing constraints, and potential engineering failures.
• Create reference solutions with traceable calculations, technical explanations, and justified assumptions.
• Review AI-generated engineering outputs for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with project requirements.
