Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Director to lead the technical delivery of large HVDC projects. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, customers, and subcontractors to ensure reliable, efficient energy systems across borders.

The position requires strong engineering leadership in EPC environments, deep HVDC expertise, and the ability to drive risk mitigation and quality-focused execution while traveling globally.

Qualifications

• Significant engineering experience in an EPC environment within power generation, transmission, or distribution.
• Strong HVDC experience with leadership in large-scale transmission or grid projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate with customers and partners.
• Solid knowledge of plant configuration, civil works, control and protection hardware, and electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full technical execution of large, complex customer projects as the main technical contact.
• Coordinate engineering across project work packages to meet customer requirements, budgets, quality and timelines.
• Oversee engineering activities focusing on HVDC and FACTS solutions across disciplines.
• Run technical reviews, guide decisions, and align cross-functional teams for project success.
• Identify risks early, drive mitigation, and ensure robust project execution.
