Job summary

AU HVAC is seeking an experienced HVAC/mechanical estimator to support hydronic heating, cooling, and mechanical projects in Australia. This dayshift, remote role reports to the Director and collaborates with the Project Admin for tender and project administration.

You’ll design estimates, perform pipework sizing, use H2X and SimPRO for costing, and ensure compliance with Australian codes. Minimum 2 years estimating/design experience required; strong English skills and ability to work remotely

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of estimating/design experience in HVAC, hydronic, or mechanical engineering.
Strong knowledge of hydronic heating, air conditioning systems, and pipework design.
Proficiency with H2X and SimPRO (or proven ability to learn quickly).
Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written).

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate estimations, designs, and take-offs for HVAC, hydronic heating, and airconditioning systems.
Perform pipework design, flow calculations, and thermal load assessments (heat loss/gain, pump sizing).
Build and maintain estimating templates, cost libraries, and take-off lists.
Use H2X for mechanical design and calculations.
Operate within SimPRO for job costing, quoting, and project workflows.
