Job summary

Dandelion Health is seeking a healthcare data scientist to partner with clients, curate multimodal datasets, and lead analytics research from design to delivery. You will work with EMR, imaging, and other data types to produce insights that improve patient health and support real-world evidence analyses.

We value experience in statistical modeling, HIPAA-compliant data handling, and strong communication skills for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• M.S. or PhD in Biomedical Informatics, Data Science, Biostatistics, or related field with 7+ years experience
• Experience in client interaction, crafting project proposals, and leading teams
• Background in statistical modeling and real-world data analysis
• Fluency in Python and SQL
• 1+ years experience extracting, curating, and analyzing data in HIT/healthcare delivery ecosystems (e.g., EMR, claims)
• Strong technical writing, editing, and communication skills with a client-first mindset
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience in startups is a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to develop analytic solutions and create value
• Design statistical analysis plans for evidence generation projects
• Query health data sources (EMRs, ECG, DICOM) to build high-quality analytic datasets
• Develop descriptive and predictive models for evidence generation and data products
• Summarize methods and results for publications and conferences
• Support SQL/analytical programming, data management, and reporting
• Create high-quality, HIPAA-compliant data products on time
• Present findings to senior leadership and external audiences
