Job summary

Dandelion Health Inc. is seeking an experienced analytics engineer to own the transformation layer of our ELT pipelines, turning raw clinical data into clean, analysis-ready datasets.

You will design data models, implement transformation logic, enforce quality standards, and document models for discoverability. Reporting to the Data Science Manager, you will work with EMR, DICOM, and other health data sources, build dbt/Snowflake pipelines, ensure data provenance, and collaborate with clinicians

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years of analytics or data engineering experience with clinical/EHR data.
• Strong dbt and SQL proficiency with multi-environment deployments.
• Experience extracting and analyzing HIT/healthcare data (EMR, claims, etc.).
• Cloud experience (Snowflake and/or AWS).
• Git/version control proficiency.
• Advocate for software engineering practices in data science.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving in startup environment.
• Passion for improving healthcare data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Query diverse source systems to map data elements for high-quality datasets.
• Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt and Snowflake.
• Harmonize multimodal data into an ontological layer for data scientists.
• Perform complex data extraction and summarization for analytics models.
• Implement data quality tests, CI/CD, and version control.
• Support engineers in de-identification and ETL for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with NLP experts to structure discrete clinical concepts.
• Translate research requirements into engineering solutions with stakeholders.
