Job summary

SeaRenergy Offshore Holding GmbH seeks a Fabrication Engineer (m/f/d) Foundations & Offshore Structures to drive fabrication of offshore foundations and steel structures across Europe. This freelance role is primarily remote-based with regular travel to project locations, suppliers and client offices as needed.

You will review drawings, welding procedures and manufacturing docs, coordinate interfaces, ensure conformance to standards, and support FATs and quality surveillance to enable on-time

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture or Civil Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Solid experience with fabrication of offshore foundations, steel structures or large welded components in offshore wind, oil & gas or heavy industry.
• Good understanding of welding, fabrication, manufacturing processes, QA and inspection activities.
• Experience reviewing fabrication documentation and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
• Familiarity with international standards, fabrication codes and quality management processes.
• Experience supporting fabrication yard inspections, supplier surveillance or FATs is an advantage.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise throughout fabrication of offshore foundations and steel structures.
• Support engineering, review and coordination of fabrication activities for monopiles, transition pieces, jackets, secondary steel and offshore substation structures.
• Review fabrication drawings, welding procedures, manufacturing documentation, quality plans and technical specifications.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between fabrication yards, suppliers, engineering teams, certification bodies and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, client specifications and project requirements.
• Support inspections, FATs, quality surveillance, non-conformance management and technical clarifications throughout fabrication.
• Contribute to fabrication optimisation, constructability reviews, risk assessments and multidisciplinary coordination.
