Job summary

Infinite Services is seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant to support a strategic data transformation project for a large Polish organization. The role combines hands-on delivery with senior IT expertise in Data Governance, Data Management and data-related processes.

You will help build a practical Data Governance model from the ground up, establish ownership and accountability, and improve decision-making while gaining senior management support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in IT, data, technology or related areas.
• Significant practical experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Strategy or related data-focused areas.
• Experience in designing, implementing or improving Data Governance processes, operating models or frameworks.
• Strong consulting and communication skills, with the ability to act as an independent expert and trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

• Assess the organization's current data management approach and identify governance gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Design and help implement a practical Data Governance operating model tailored to the business and organizational structure.
• Develop a Data Governance strategy and roadmap considering maturity, priorities and constraints.
• Define and establish governance processes including data ownership, roles, responsibilities, demand management, decision-making and escalation paths, budgeting and stakeholder engagement.
• Help establish ownership and accountability for data, data products and analytical solutions.
• Review existing ways of working and identify opportunities to improve data-related initiatives lifecycle.
• Identify and flag data, information security and governance risks and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with business, data, IT, security and management to build alignment and ownership.
• Develop a strong business case for Data Governance and communicate value to senior management.
