Job summary

Medicover Sp. z o.o. in Poland seeks an experienced Corporate Data Governance Lead to design and drive the organization-wide governance framework.

You will ensure data is managed securely and effectively as a strategic asset, partnering with business leaders, data professionals, and IT teams to assign ownership, drive quality improvements, and foster a data-driven culture across the Group. The role offers a hybrid work model with remote-first flexibility and periodic office visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, BI, data strategy, or related disciplines.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks, standards, and operating models.
• Hands-on experience in Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, or similar data management disciplines.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and DAMA-DMBOK best practices.
• Experience in large, complex organizations with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, analytical environments, data integration, and enterprise information management.
• Ability to lead transformation initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and consensus-building skills.
• Strong analytical mindset balancing business priorities, risks and data management requirements.
• English proficiency at minimum B2+/C1, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise Data Governance strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Establish and maintain data governance policies, standards, processes, and operating models.
• Define and coordinate data ownership and stewardship structures for accountability.
• Drive the implementation of governance practices within business processes and tech solutions.
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality, reliability, consistency, and completeness across domains.
• Oversee metadata management activities including glossaries, catalogues, and definitions.
• Collaborate with business and tech stakeholders to promote ownership and governance best practices.
• Monitor Data Governance maturity, identify improvements, and report progress to senior leadership.
• Support organizational change via training, communication, and awareness to strengthen data culture.
