Job summary

SearchApi is seeking a seasoned browser-engine engineer to patch Chromium/Firefox at the C++ source level and own our in-house patched-browser cloud. You will fix fingerprinting evasions in the engine, not in JavaScript, and ensure our automation remains indistinguishable from a real user on real machines.

You will work on the open-source stealth ecosystem and build tooling to test and validate evasions, with fully remote work options in a bootstrapped, profitable environment.

Qualifications

• Shipped or contributed to a browser-engine patch or similar stealth tooling.
• Understanding browser fingerprinting and how to spoof it at the implementation level.
• Hands-on with CDP and headless or headful automation internals.

Responsibilities

• Own the browser stack and maintain in-house patched-browser cloud with per-OS fingerprint profiles.
• Patch the engine so spoofed values look native at the implementation level.
• Eliminate CDP leaks and ensure signals do not reveal automation.
• Align geolocation, timezone, and locale for a consistent picture.
• Develop tooling and harnesses to test evasions and prevent regressions.
