Law Offices Of James L Arrasmith A is seeking a California-licensed Associate Attorney for a remote role. You will support senior attorneys across estate planning, environmental law, immigration, family, and more, delivering precise legal research, drafting, and client communication in a collaborative environment.

You will manage case files, stay current on evolving statutes, and contribute to trial preparation and negotiations, with ample opportunities for professional growth and advancement

Competenze

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
• Demonstrated experience or internship exposure in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law or others listed above.
• Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis; ability to synthesize complex legal information clearly.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce well-organized legal drafts under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Legal administrative experience including managing case files and documentation workflows.
• Effective negotiation skills coupled with a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.

Mansioni

• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other tools to support case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence.
• Assist in preparing cases for trial or settlement by organizing evidence and drafting discovery requests.
• Support attorneys in negotiations with clients or opposing counsel.
• Manage case files and ensure documentation complies with deadlines.
• Participate in client meetings by providing legal insights and updates.
• Stay informed on laws relevant to estate planning, family law, workers' compensation, personal injury, tribal laws, and litigation procedures.
