Job summary

Walker Lovell Ltd. seeks a technically credible software architect to work directly with clients, shaping AI-enabled solutions from discovery through delivery. You’ll lead technical conversations, guide engineering teams and own architecture decisions that balance business value with technical trade-offs.

You should have hands-on AI experience, strong backend expertise (AWS or Azure, Kubernetes), and a product-minded approach. Remote work with flexible schedules aligns to client commitments.

Qualifications

• At least three years in software architecture.
• Hands-on AI experience with LLMs or agents.
• Cloud architecture experience with AWS or Azure.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• Ownership with product thinking.
• English language skills; German advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and presales, shaping requirements, estimates, proposals and RFIs/RFPs.
• Design backend and AI-enabled solutions, including LLM applications, RAG systems and agent orchestration.
• Own architectural decisions, defining non-functional requirements and explaining trade-offs to clients.
• Guide engineering delivery, produce architecture docs, review code and develop proofs of concept.
• Connect technology with business outcomes, balancing scope, resources, timelines and user needs.
