Job summary

Commerzbank AG in Poland is seeking an AI Model Governance and Validation Specialist (m/f/d) to strengthen the second line of defense in model risk and AI governance. You will contribute to governance, validation, and reporting across AI/ML models in a regulated banking context.

Based in Łódź and/or Wrocław, with option for remote work, you will work with cross-functional teams to implement risk-based controls, perform independent validations, and support the evolving AI landscape.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of banking, financial services or regulated industry.
• Knowledge of AI/ML techniques including trees, forests, boosting, neural networks.
• Strong analytical and technical skills; Python/R/SQL experience.
• Familiarity with model risk concepts; experience in model risk management or validation.
• University degree in a quantitative discipline such as CS, Math, Statistics, Data Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the model risk management framework aligned with AI/ML advances.
• Drive AI governance and model risk standards with stakeholders across the organization.
• Assess model risks in business processes, identify control gaps, and mitigate risks.
• Plan and perform independent validations of AI/ML models; prepare validation reports.
• Support inventory management of AI systems and ensure timely risk reporting.
