Job summary

Her Mission is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations including AP, AR, payments, expense management, and GL activities. This full-time remote role suits professionals who value accuracy, process improvement, and strong collaboration across distributed teams.

Responsibilities cover vendor and client invoicing, payment processing via PayPal/Lumanu where applicable, month-end close support, and reliable financial reporting.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of accounting experience, including AP/AR and general ledger.
• Practical knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience with payment workflows and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, code be verified, and obtain approvals.
• Coordinate payment schedules and execute batches for disbursement.
• Manage contractor payments via Lumanu and PayPal where applicable.
• Review expense reports and ensure policy compliance.
• Record journal entries and reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts.
• Support month-end close and provide accurate reporting.
