Job summary

Capgemini Polska is seeking an R2R Senior Accountant with German to join our finance team in Kraków. You will handle complex accounting, support close activities, ensure controls, and drive process improvements.

In this role you will work with IFRS and local GAAP, collaborate with tax and finance stakeholders, mentor junior accountants, and contribute to high-quality reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting, or Record to Report processes.
• Strong background in General Ledger accounting and financial close activities.
• Experience managing financial records and reporting for legal entities or country-level operations.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP principles.
• Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience supporting audits and working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English and German (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Coordinate and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Review and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and internal accounting policies.
• Collaborate with tax advisors and finance stakeholders on accounting and regulatory changes.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external audits.
• Identify and drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives within R2R.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accountants and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
