Job summary

Capgemini Poland is seeking an experienced R2R Senior Accountant with German to be a key expert within the Record to Report process, handling complex accounting matters and supporting monthly close with strong controls. You will analyze financial data, provide actionable insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve efficiency and reporting quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or Record to Report.
• Solid General Ledger accounting and financial close experience.
• Experience managing financial records for legal entities or country-level operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Ability to analyze financial data and implement corrective actions.
• Experience supporting audits and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and drive improvements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English and German (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Coordinate and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Review and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and internal accounting policies.
• Collaborate with tax advisors and finance stakeholders on accounting changes.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external audits.
• Identify and drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives within R2R.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accountants and share knowledge within the team.

Your profile

• Solid background in General Ledger accounting and financial close activities.
• Experience managing financial records and reporting for legal entities or country-level operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP principles.
• Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience supporting audits and working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English and German (written and spoken).
