Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced R&D Team Manager for Valve Electronics in Kraków to lead a talented group of engineers developing innovative electronics and power electronics solutions for GI MACH Valve Electronics Design Organization.

You will drive the full product development lifecycle from concept to validation and deployment, shape technology roadmaps, mentor engineers, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver reliable, state-of-the-art

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (PhD a plus).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electronics R&D, including at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
• Proven expertise in embedded systems, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and analog/digital circuit design.
• Strong understanding of control systems, algorithm development, and product verification methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage complex projects, and drive innovation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of R&D engineers.
• Oversee the complete product development lifecycle for valve electronics systems, from concept to validation and production support.
• Define project scope, priorities, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Drive research and evaluation of emerging technologies, materials, and methodologies.
• Guide the design and development of embedded systems, control algorithms, sensor integration, and communication solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams for successful delivery.
• Oversee verification and validation activities, including HIL simulations and physical testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and quality processes while communicating progress to stakeholders.
