Job summary

Joyteractive is seeking a seasoned Game Designer to join our RnD team. You will lead core gameplay development, write precise GDDs, and conduct competitor analyses to shape our puzzle-game portfolio.

You’ll leverage data-driven insights, prioritize product goals, and work in a fast-paced, iterative environment with Unity as a key tool. Remote work options are available for a dynamic, creative team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of game designer experience.
• Deep understanding of core gameplay mechanics.
• Experience working as a project’s feature-owner.
• Knowledge of monetization trends and general mobile market trends.
• Systematic experience in market research with a strong interest in and ability to apply findings to design decisions.
• Understanding of product and business goals, ability to prioritize.
• Writing clear documentation, interacting with team members.
• Adaptability and eagerness to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Understanding of basic analytical metrics.

Responsibilities

• Core Gameplay Development & Ideation: Focus on the creation, iteration, and refinement of core gameplay mechanics.
• Documentation: Write clear and concise game design documents (GDDs) that communicate ideas for the development team.
• Competitor Analysis: Deconstruct and analyze competing products to identify trends and opportunities.
• Data-driven Design: Use analytical metrics to guide design decisions and improve gameplay.
