Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a domain expert in design platforms for power transformers. You will bridge R&D and end-users, driving new technologies, standards, and tools while ensuring quality and usability across projects.

With 5+ years in transformer design, you will guide cross-functional teams, analyze production processes, and collaborate with corporate centers and universities to foster partnerships and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in Power Transformer industry.
• Mechanical engineers with 5+ years in Power Transformer design also considered.
• Experience in transformer design, testing and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Propose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for core type transformers.
• Lead and manage R&D projects on time, on budget, and with required quality.
• Maintain existing and develop new technical standards and design tools for transformers.
• Transfer knowledge by elaborating reports, specifications and educational materials.
• Assess production processes and identify gaps and improvement areas.
• Support factories troubleshooting in your domain of expertise.
• Support platform developers creating technical specifications.
• Develop and expand relationships with stakeholders, Corporate Research Centers, customers and universities.
