Job summary

ABB is seeking an R&D Engineer in Przasnysz to design, implement and validate new concepts for switchgear applications. You will contribute to the Energy Distribution Solutions and collaborate with the global R&D organization. The role is onsite and reports to the R&D Team Leader in Przasnysz.

You will participate in prototypes, documentation, and analysis, working with cross-functional teams and a strong emphasis on design improvements and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or related fields.
• Skilled in and enjoy working with Design.
• Analytical but also out of the box thinking; good written and spoken English.

This Position reports to: Switchgears Team Leader

Currently we are looking for a R&D Engineer as a member of Technology Center team in Przasnysz.

In this role You will be responsible for design, implementation and validation of new concepts for switchgear applications. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. The work model for the role is: onsite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division worldwide. Main stakeholder is R&D organization.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Contributing in R&D projects.
• Work with international cross-functional teams.
• Preparing documentation and presenting analysis results.
• Participation in prototypes preparation and testing.

Qualifications for the role:

• Hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or re-lated fields.
• You are skilled in and enjoy working with Design.
• You are passionate about design improvements.
• Analytical but also out of box thinking is your nature.
• Good written and spoken English.
