Job summary

Elsewhere Entertainment in Warsaw is seeking a Quest Designer to join the development of a new IP. You’ll create quest experiences by designing and implementing content players engage with in our game.

You’ll work with the Content Team and cross-functional partners to ensure inclusive, collaborative workflows, and help take the studio from great to even better.

This onsite role in Warsaw emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving as you craft memorable player journeys.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a professional Game Designer (or combination of training and experience).
  • Experience with technical game design (implementation in tools, game logic, visual scripting, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks in a confidential environment.
  • Creative problem-solving with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Experience pitching game design concepts clearly, in writing and verbally.
  • Organizational methods and the ability to meet timelines.
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the quest, narrative, level design teams and other departments in crafting a cohesive experience for the game’s locations, characters, content, and plots.
  • Collaborate with our Quest and Narrative Designers and Engineers to develop pipelines and processes of the Quest Design team.
  • Designing and implementing functional quests and becoming proficient in using our tools
  • Help express the story's vision via exploration, dialogue, gameplay, and activities.
  • Providing constructive feedback on others’ work
  • Acting as a liaison to other departments, conveying the consistent design vision of the project

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Quest Designer to join the development of a new IP.

Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining!

As a member of the Content Team, you’ll create fun and memorable quest experiences by designing and implementing the many types of content that players can engage with in our game.

As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.

You’ll help us by…

  • Experience pitching game design concepts in a clear, detailed manner, through strong written and verbal skills
  • Organization methods and the capability to meet agreed timelines

Bonus points for…
  • Experience with AAA games
  • Industry recognition or demonstrated impact in your field
  • Having made your own game as a side or indie project
  • Experience in adjacent fields such as content design, narrative design, environment art, programming, etc.
  • Experience playing and/or crafting pen and paper, board, or trading card games
