Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced QA Team Lead to drive quality across our exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading platforms. This role blends hands-on testing with leadership in a fast-paced, collaboration-rich environment.

Expect a 50/50 mix of manual and automated testing (Python and Robot Framework), a hybrid setup with three days remote weekly, and close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to ensure reliable platform delivery.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in software testing or QA roles.
• 6–8 years in exchange connectivity or algorithmic trading environments.
• Proven ability to split testing efforts 50/50 between manual and automated.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills with good communication.

This role requires strong proficiency in both manual and automated testing, with an even 50/50 split between the two. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading platforms
• Develop and enhance automated testing scripts using Python and Robot Framework
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to ensure high-quality delivery of trading platform features
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to exchange connectivity, trading algorithms, and platform performance
• Leverage AI tools to support testing, analysis, and reporting activities
• Document test results, defects, and provide clear feedback to stakeholders
• Participate in continuous improvement of testing processes and tools

Requirements

• 8–10 years of total experience in software testing or QA roles
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading environments
• Strong proficiency in manual and automated testing (50/50 split)
• Hands-on expertise in Python and Robot Framework for test automation
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in testing and analysis
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
• Fluency in English (B2+ level)

• Experience in investment banking or financial services technology
• Knowledge of trading platform architecture and exchange protocols
