Job summary

MWDN Ltd. is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement and maintain Playwright-based test suites for security-focused projects.

You will automate testing, handle API validations with Swagger/OpenAPI, and participate in CI/CD workflows within a distributed, load-balanced environment. The role requires strong problem-solving, architecture understanding, and a proactive mindset to drive quality across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on QA Automation experience.
Experience in Manual Testing as part of an Automation & Manual QA role.
Hands-on with Playwright.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Strong understanding of product architecture and component interactions.
Proven ability to build automation frameworks and infrastructure from scratch.
Solid understanding of REST APIs and Swagger/OpenAPI.
Experience testing distributed systems behind load balancers.
Experience working with JSON payloads.
Basics of authentication, encryption, and decryption concepts.
Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python is a plus.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
Experience with AI-assisted development/testing tools is a plus.
Ability to work independently and drive quality.
Upper-intermediate English (spoken/written).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright.
Build and enhance automation infrastructure and reusable components.
Execute manual testing when needed across functional/regression/exploratory testing.
Test REST APIs using Swagger and other tools.
Validate behavior in distributed, load-balanced environments.
Work with JSON payloads, auth flows, and encryption/decryption.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product managers on releases.
Investigate production issues and assist root cause analysis.
Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS issues.
Contribute to QA process improvements and release quality.
