Job summary

XM is hiring an AQA Python Team Lead to steer a QA team (MQA and AQA) and advance shift-left automation. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Development and DevOps to deliver high-quality software.

The role requires 5+ years in QA with at least 2 years in leadership, strong Python automation skills, API testing, and experience with Kafka, Docker, AWS, and CI/CD tools. Fluency in English is expected.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on QA experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a QA leadership role with at least 5 direct reports.
• Strong hands-on Python-based automation with test frameworks, API testing, and tools like Kafka, Docker, AWS.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile practices, and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with Jenkins or equivalent CI/CD tools.
• Basic knowledge of containerization using Docker and exposure to Kubernetes (AWS EKS preferred).
• Hands-on with mocking frameworks such as WireMock or MockServer.
• Experience with performance testing using K6.

Responsibilities

• Act as AQA Python Team Lead for QA teams (MQA and AQA) focusing on shift-left automation.
• Collaborate with Development to deliver high quality software.
• Design and develop the test automation framework and required libraries.
• Drive the design of scalable and maintainable automation frameworks.
• Review and contribute to test plans, strategies, and automated scripts.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, test coverage, and CI/CD integration.
• Participate in architecture discussions to improve testability and product quality.
• Work with Dev, DevOps, and product teams across SDLC phases.
• Identify training needs and promote knowledge sharing within QA.
