Job summary

J.P. Morgan Chase Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Treasury is seeking an Associate to act as a hands-on Python developer.

You will automate Treasury analytics, build data pipelines, and develop robust controls for regulatory deliverables while partnering with SMEs and tech teams to ensure scalable, well-documented outputs. Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Econometrics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Relevant work experience in developing applications, dashboards, automation or financial analysis.
• Knowledge of Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, sklearn, statsmodels); experience with Git, unit tests and debugging.
• Experience in large dataset quality checks and analysis using Excel and Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• General knowledge of software development cycle and banking products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable Python code to automate Treasury analytics and workflows across the CIB Treasury organization.
• Build and enhance forecasting/analytics platforms for reliability, performance, and reusability.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to reflect business rules and constraints in solutions.
• Design and run validation and control testing to ensure accuracy and auditability.
• Prepare and maintain documentation to support auditability and governance in Treasury.
• Create and maintain test cases, updating them with project feedback.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize Python applications and pipelines.
