Job summary

ALTEN Polska in Kraków is seeking a software engineer to join our team, working closely with the Product Owner and Development Lead to design, develop and deliver software solutions that meet stakeholder requirements. You will collaborate with Cybersecurity experts to refine requirements and keep the bank secure, delivering features iteratively.

You will follow the team\'s patterns, identify bottlenecks, and contribute to automation, ensuring operability of services including L2/L3

Qualifications

• Experience with Python-based web frameworks (FastAPI preferred) and other Python web stacks.
• Strong knowledge of microservices patterns and CQRS/SAGA/event sourcing concepts.
• Experience deploying services with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid SQL skills and complex query writing.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, RedShift).
• Linux system administration basics and networking concepts.
• Proficient with Git and branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based).
• Test-driven development and automated testing across unit/integration/functional/non-functional tests.
• Good understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices; experience with Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owner and Development Lead to design, develop and deliver software solutions meeting stakeholder requirements.
• Work with Cybersecurity teams to refine requirements and iteratively deliver features while proposing new technologies to keep the bank secure.
• Advocate for design patterns, identify bottlenecks, and improve software development efficiencies in the team.
• Follow governance around requirements intake, releases and incident management, contributing to process automation.
• Ensure operability of existing services, including L2/L3 troubleshooting, bug fixing, and writing automated tests and documentation.
• Lead peer reviews and mentor junior developers in the team.
