Job summary

Billigence is seeking an experienced Microsoft Purview Unified Catalog Consultant to support a client in the real estate and housing sector on a short, time-boxed Data Governance engagement. The consultant will quickly understand the existing setup and accelerate delivery from day one, with an engagement expected to run for approximately 6–8 weeks.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on Purview experience, data cataloging and governance skills, and the ability to work with Data Owners and Data

Qualifications

• Recent hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview Unified Catalog.
• Experience building and curating data catalogues, not only configuring scans.
• Proficiency with data governance concepts, glossaries and stewardship.
• Ability to work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define ownership.

Responsibilities

• Review and extend the client's Purview Unified Catalog.
• Scan CRM and data warehouse sources to ingest metadata and lineage.
• Set up governance domains and organize assets and glossary terms.
• Collaborate with owners and stewards to assign accountability.
• Apply classifications (Public, Internal, Private, PII) to assets.
• Accelerate delivery and leave a structured, usable data catalogue.
