Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
KALE Recruitment seeks a Project Engineering Manager to act as the local engineering representative in Poland, starting with three geothermal facilities in Poznań. You will interface between the Danish design team and Polish contractors, overseeing transition from Pre-FEED to tender documentation and project execution.
You will promote scalable, modular engineering, ensure compliance with Polish regulations and long-term asset performance, and travel to project sites as needed.
Are you a seasoned engineering professional with experience guiding industrial projects from preliminary design through tendering, construction and commissioning? Would you like to apply your knowledge of the Polish engineering and construction market while collaborating with an international team?
We are seeking a Project Engineering Manager to act as our local engineering representative in Poland. The initial assignment will involve supporting the delivery of three geothermal facilities in Poznań, with additional projects anticipated as the portfolio expands.
You will serve as the main technical interface between the engineering team in Denmark and local contractors, consultants and suppliers in Poland.
The Danish team is responsible for developing the initial concepts and Pre-FEED designs. Your role will be to support the transition from these early-stage designs to comprehensive tender documentation and successful project execution. You will ensure that the original engineering principles are maintained throughout implementation while safeguarding the long-term performance and operational needs of the facilities.
A key part of your responsibility will be to promote scalable, modular and standardized engineering solutions, adapting them to local conditions without compromising the overall design philosophy.
We are looking for an established engineering professional, typically with 10–30 years of relevant experience, who offers:
Experience in district heating, thermal energy installations, commissioning or working as an Owner’s Engineer would be a strong advantage. Familiarity with geothermal projects is beneficial but not a prerequisite.
You combine sound engineering judgement with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset. You are comfortable working autonomously, taking responsibility for resolving technical matters and engaging the right experts when additional input is required.
You can challenge contractors constructively, communicate the reasoning behind engineering decisions and establish productive working relationships across different disciplines and cultures. You also understand that successful project delivery means more than completing construction: it requires creating facilities that remain reliable, maintainable and efficient throughout their service life.
This position offers the chance to help develop a local engineering capability in Poland and play a meaningful role in shaping the delivery of geothermal infrastructure.
Working in close cooperation with an international engineering team, you will contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from early design development to commissioning and handover. You will also help establish consistent engineering and delivery practices that can be applied across an expanding portfolio of projects.
