Job summary

Luxoft Poland in Wrocław is hiring an OpenEdge Developer to support regulatory reporting for Investment Banking clients. You will maintain and enhance a suite of 25 OpenEdge-based systems in Securities, focusing on automation, monitoring, and system administration.

Required 5+ years of experience with Progress OpenEdge, Bash, Red Hat Linux, GitLab, and security awareness. The role is Hybrid (3 days in office) in Wrocław with stable employment and employee programs offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer.
• Comprehensive Bash scripting for automation and system management.
• Ability to perform system administration tasks in OpenEdge environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring, troubleshooting, networking and performance analysis.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Shell commands, file manipulation, and process control.
• Familiarity with GitLab and other version control and deployment tools.
• Understanding of system security and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on regulatory reporting projects for Investment Banking clients.
• Support and develop approx. 25 OpenEdge-based systems in Securities.
• Provide maintenance and improvements to OpenEdge environment and tooling.

Job description

Project is related to regulatory reporting for one of Clients from Investment Banking area using OpenEdge (Progress 4GL) technology. There is an exclusive team developing & supporting approx. 25 systems in Securities area using Progress OpenEdge solution. Current OpenEdge team is located in Wrocław.

Mandatory Skills Description:

Overall, 5+ years of professional experience.

• Proven experience as a Progress 4GL OpenEdge Developer.
• Comprehensive skills in Bash scripting for automation and system management.
• Ability to perform system administration tasks related to the Progress 4GL OpenEdge environment
• Familiarity with system monitoring, troubleshooting, IT networking and performance analysis.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with shell commands, file manipulation, and process control.
• Familiarity with GitLab / another version control and collaboration and automated deployment tools.
• Understanding of system security and access controls.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Experience managing and administering Progress 4GL OpenEdge databases.
• Proficiency in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.

Mode of work: hybrid 3 days/ week from the office
